Prophetstown Water Treatment Plant & Well No. 5

The Prophetstown Water Treatment Plant & Well No. 5 project involved the construction of a new water treatment facility to serve Well No. 11, along with associated site and utility improvements.

Scope of Work Included:

  • Construction of a new 3,590 SF water treatment plant building

  • Drilling of a new sand and gravel well and installation of a 500 GPM vertical line shaft pump

  • Furnishing and installation of a 600 GPM iron and manganese removal gravity filter

  • Installation of chemical feed systems and equipment

  • Furnishing and installation of process piping, valves, and meters

  • Complete electrical and HVAC systems installation

  • Installation of water system controls and automation

  • Landscaping and seeding

  • Installation of site watermain, valves, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer, and manholes

  • Demolition of the existing water treatment plant

  • Replacement of the motor on Well No. 4 and modification of piping to connect to the new plant

  • Demolition of the existing Well No. 3 building and abandonment of Well No. 3

The project delivered a new, state-of-the-art water treatment facility designed to blend with its surroundings — featuring a residential-style building exterior that complements the neighboring homes in the area.
